A Legacy of Innovation in Carpet and Yarn Manufacturing.

Western Textiles Company (Westex) formerly known as Saudi Polypropylene Yarn Factory was established in 1990. It was the-then part of Saudi Carpet Factory which renamed itself as Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Company (AIIC) after being listed as Joint Stock Company in 2007. Later, the company was renamed to Artex Industrial Investment Company (AIIC) in 2024.

Prior to AIIC being listed with Tadawul Saudi Stock Exchange, the AIIC was known to be Saudi Carpet Factory, a Carpet & Yarn manufacturing segment of ARTEX (formerly Al Abdullatif Group) which continue to have business interest in Furniture & Home Interiors.
